Sassy Vest

Why do I keep clothes around when they clearly don't fit me anymore? I've had this pair of dress pants in my dresser for years even though I could barely button that size 6, high-waisted nightmare. So instead of pretending like someday they'd fit me again, I just chopped them up and made them into this sassy little vest.

Everything on this vest is recycled from the pants (except the thread!). I made my own covered buttons out of the original buttons on the pants, and I even cut out the interfacing from the waistband for the buttonholes. I had just enough material from the pants to fully line it. I'm so thrilled that it actually fits, and it looks so great with a lot of my clothes. Yay recycling.
